My name is Catrin Doyle and I am an artist-activist and resident of Pontypridd, South Wales. My passions and values are what fuel my desire to make art and work with my community. So let me introduce myself : - head, heart and hands.

Fy enw i yw Catrin Doyle a dwi’n artist-activist sy’n byw ym Mhontypridd, De Cymru. Mae fy angerdd a fy ngwerthoedd yn tanio fy awydd gwneud gwaith celf yn fy nghymuned. Gadewch imi cyflwyno fy hun: fy mhen, fy nghalon, a fy nwylo.

    cymuned I strive to play my part in a community that encourages citizenship and supports healthy habits for mental health, wellbeing and respectful relationships; both with nature & our surroundings and with each other.  

    dysgu I love to learn new things and I am an advocate for Creative and Lifelong Learning.  I enjoy devising opportunities for learners to visualise, to play, and to immerse themselves in sensory experiences.

    fflamau’r ddraig I am a passionate advocate for the Welsh language sharing Welsh with young learners and workshop participants whatever their level of ability, giving an opportunity to learn one word at a time!

    gwyn ein byd As an environmentalist, I am involved in local and national activism to raise awareness and build grassroots movements.  I want to encourage pride and a sense of agency through local actions to protect our natural heritage and share our world with other species. 

    cysylltu i ffynnu I relish the opportunities for learning and producing new work when collaborating with other artists and arts organisations, as well as environmental and community organisations.

    chwarae a chyfathrebu I love to make work which uses language, play, and the visual image to tell a story: often as interactive sculptures, conversations or artistic provocations in a space.

    casglu a chreu working with biodegradable materials- willow and paper- as well as with semi-permanent traditional materials such as clay and fabric brings a sense of longevity and connection to past, present and future. My sculptures and collage are enriched by found objects, testament to a life-long habit of collecting and treasuring often unloved or discarded objects.
